Where to Stay in Udaipur?
Udaipur is famous for the Lake Pichola and Lake Fathesagar within the city. I will highly recommend booking a great hotel/palace around it only to get the best morning/evening view of Lake. Just imagine waking up to the serenity of the Lake and watch the spectacular and eye-catching sunset over its shimmering water. Luckily, we got such peaceful and fresh morning views at Hotel Rampratap palace room.
We chose our stay at Hotel Rampratap palace located on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake. Check the link for the palace website https://www.hotelrampratap.com/. Some of the pictures that we took at the palace are shown below.

Best Time to Visit Udaipur
While they say some places are evergreen and can be visited anytime, but Udaipur being in Rajasthan serves the best tourism from September to February.
Although from June to August, you will get to see some dramatic clouds covering the Udaipur city well.
So, I will recommend you to avoid visiting this beautiful city in summers, especially from March to June.
How to Get Around in the City?
Udaipur serves a lot of commute modes. Auto rickshaws are easily available all around the city. Udaipur even has Ola and Uber services as well. Being the couple and for a comfortable journey, we always hire a rental car with a driver to take us for a quick and easy look at the city.
We always ask for such things to the self accommodated hotel management itself, as they know the best local drivers. In addition to easy travel, renting a car lets you cover the maximum parts of the city.

Where to Eat in Udaipur
Although Udaipur serves a lot of options to let you taste the authentic Rajasthani food, still I have explored the best out of them below:
• Ambrai – The place is stunning. Food is excellent, and the surrounding views are eye-pleasing. Although most of the restaurants give pretty decent views of the city.
• Jhummar rooftop restaurant offers great rooftop views. Food prices are mid-range with good quality food.
• Natraj Restaurant – We found out the place to be most famous, cheap, and offering the best Rajasthani Thalis ever. So, don’t miss a delightful lunch at Natraj Udaipur. The thali is pocket friendly too, i.e. INR 250 for one Thali!
• Rajwada Bites – We were wandering around in the city for a good dining place, and one Udaipur localite again suggested us the perfect dining place.
Rajwada bites proved as one of the most enjoyable places for dinner. As we had no idea that we would get the combo of entertainment and food LMAO!
The Rajasthani artists at the Rajwada restaurant sang a lot of heart Throbbing quails and folk dances. Imagine people concentrating less on food, and more on their performances. The experience was truly magical!
